Wilts#Dave
My hushpower pump .410 is a great bit of kit and when the pigeons are behaving and decoying well little to no handicap over anything else once you get your eye in. Above 25 yards though you can't really compare the ease and consistency of kills with that of a 12 bore and neither should you, that's not what they're about? I've killed plenty beyond 25 yards and some at 40 yards but only odd second barrel shots and not something you should regularly take on in my opinion. The gun is choked a tight full and my cartridge of choice is 18g of 6's or 7's. I still can't believe how well they kill at Sensible ranges with full choke. I had a red letter day on barley stubble and managed to shoot 97 so they're certainly effective enough!!
