Gordon R
Surly Junior has returned to clay shooting after a 15 year gap. I handed him a nice Browning 32" 3/8 and 3/8, but the wimp wants an auto. Broke his shoulder and just had the plate out. He is a big lad and has not responded well to me calling him a wimp. Foolishly, Mark S let him have a go with his Beretta Tecknys Gold. Now he wants an auto. Don't want to lash out a bundle - in case he goes off shooting. Hatsan Escorts look cheap and a lot of gun for the money. Any opinions?

08shooter
hi gordon,i handled an escort yesterday morning and i have to say i was tempted.it came with 5 chokes and a 3 year warranty.i originally went to look at remmy 1100s but both guns wer shot done,i asked about the escort just to handle one.it had a plastic walnut effect.to be honest it was a bit cheap and nasty,i have tried a lot of budget type guns as i would nt spend the money on the big names so im not a gun snob.to be honest i was tempted it seemed a good deal at just over 300 quid.however i have always wanted to try a remmy and i think i ll try another few gunshops before i commit.a lot of folk have a good word on the escort so i would nt slag them off.they are a great package for the money.gun fitted me well and pointed nice too.i think if you bought a beretta and traded it after a year you would lose the price of the escort.if you shot the escort for 3 years under warranty i don t think you could go wrong.if it breaks out of warranty you could trade it in for another.
