new to the flock Posted April 17, 2007 Report Share Posted April 17, 2007 Before you decide that you want to breed with your male you need to have hips, elbows, and eyes tested and scored. If they are less than perfect than dont breed him. You also need to be sure that he is in good conformation....legs, and angles, and that his bite is good. Shootingman Posted April 17, 2007 Report Share Posted April 17, 2007 E.S.S. also require a full D.N.A. profile + the fucosidosis blood tests, you must have these certificates before you use him for stud otherwise you will not be able to register the pups. At this moment in time hips & elbows scores for E.S.S. are not compulsory in the UK,but I would reccomend it. Have a look at the Kennel Club website & go to breed standards.
