naddan28
Just considering getting a FAC Air Rifle (should I apply for a FAC) but wondered whether if you owned a adjustable power FAC air rifle and then dropped the power below 12ftlbs could you shoot it on uncleared land as if it was a normal air rifle??? Just wondered, unlikely that I will need to be even so, Thanks, Dan
pin
No is the simple answer, it is still a section one firearm and would require the land be cleared or an open cert if the land wasn't cleared.
deadeye ive
Once that manufacturers number is entered on your ticket it'll always be considered as a FAC rated firearm regardless of the power setting . There have been a couple of exceptions on here whereby a FAc rated air rifle was returned to legal limit power and taken off fac status but I personally know of no such cases .
