ChrisPCarter
Hawke do some superb binoculars. I got a pair of their Frontier ED 8x43 for around that budget after shopping around but the new 8x42 versions are even less. Some reviews say they are as good as pairs costing up to £1500. They certainly look good to me and I did quite a bit of research and compared a few models in the shops. I do a bit of birdwatching with them but they also come pigeon shooting with me. http://www.hawkeoptics.co.uk/hk-binoculars-frontier.html If you want a bit more magnification go for 10x ones but I prefer a wider field of view on 8x and they start to get a bit shaky at higher magnifications, being more suited to a tripod. Uttings always have some good deals and discount voucher codes available. http://www.uttings.co.uk/p121370-hawke-frontier-ed-8x42-binoculars-green-38-201/#.VtHxeJOLRE4
steve_b_wales
Hawke 8x42 Nature Trek. Around the £110 mark, and they carry a 10 year warranty.
