Without actually seeing what took place it is very hard to be making a judgement on the situation. However It would not harm and probably do alot of good to do some dominace control. There is a post on here with pics and a how to, I will see if I can locate it for you.

As a reasurance for your concern a little story.

When we were much younger my Brother and I use to show a lot of horses, both of us owning severel. When Steve was around 18 he owned a Mare by the name of Saraban....God how I hated that horse.....She was a very pretty Arabian mare out of some fabulous blood lines and she loved my Brother to a fault. It was so bad that when you walked into the barn she would ignore anyone else...or put her ears back and bar her teeth. :good::) As the fall came and the show season started they were constantly together getting ready to compete. In September we once again were at the Canadian National Exibition where we would be showing for 10 days. Well this mares affections had become so concentrated on my Brother that if any female walked down the isle while he was near Saraban would lounge to the stall front, with teeth open ears back screaming a challenge.:lol: Chased away an awful lot of very pretty young ladies that year :good: Yet she was fine if Steve was away from the area. She actually ripped the jacket from one young lady that came over to talk to Steve while we were in the exercise ring. Thankfully it was someone well familiar with horses and a very good friend of ours although Steve did not end up taking her out that night :D:lol::lol: .

This mare was insainly jelouse of any female coming near him. She would make googly eyes at Steve and wicker to him constantly :P ...was sickening really. In the end we had to come up with a program of bringing young ladies into the barn to break her of the habit. That and we put her to Eliegha an incredably well bred Stallion that my Sister owned :P:P Although she was still sickening around my Brother she did stop lashing out and she foaled the prettiest little filly , who really did have a sweet disposition....As a matter of fact we just lost Sara, her filly last year at 30 years old.

The Morale of this story..... get dominance control of them young and keep control of them through out.

I also had a little Siberian bitch that Hated Trix. She would root through the close hamper and take Trix's clothes out and shred them, growl at her if she tried to get in bed with me get between us constantly. Didn't last long as one of them was gonna die :/ The bitch found a new home and I kept Trix :)
