Glenlivet
I emailed Saddlery and Gunroom for some info on cleaning my 9" removable Hushpower but got no reply so I'm prostrating myself at the feet of the collective! What do I need to do by way of cleaning the mod? At the moment just unscrewing it and tapping it on the top of the gun cabinet to shake out some muck. A secondary question - does the Hushpower have any impact on pattern?
Rst1990
some say don't clean it as the coke from the powder builds up a layer and reduces the sound. I myself have cleaned mine loads of times and have found no difference in sound. Just clean it with the solvent that you use for your barrels, if it's hard to get off grab the bronze brush and scrub. No technical way to do it. Atb

Glenlivet
Thanks chaps. I must say I get the impression that it's quieter now than it was to start with. I'll see how it goes and try your remedies as required.
psycho
I take mine off and clean the barrel after every outing, I just shake the silencer its self and let the carbon drop out otherwise it becomes hard to remove the silencer, if you leave for a while, sound wise I don't find much difference if cleaned or not

Also tap the mod to get the worst out, just don't want it to rot!
