snipers eye
hi all,im using a diy night vision set up,its on a hawke varmint 4-16x44 sf,scanning around at 4mag is fine, but if i start to zoom in on target i loose the light and picture gets dark from about 8 mag up,if i were to get a 4-16x50,would that any difference? ps also how would i cut down screen glare?thanks all. Dave-G
That's because the scope exit pupil gets smaller as the mag is increased - so less light gets to cover the entire camera sensor. Dunno what your set up is but its more noticeable with cheap cameras and most people would rather smash more light into the face of the quarry than use a better camera.
