  1. hi folks,if there is already a discussion on this post the link..anyone bought the tikka t1x .22lr?if so what do you think of it...how accurate do you find it..what ammo do you use,im torn between the tikka and the cz 457,opinions welcome, thanks
  2. used hawke scopes for years without any issues, maybe im just lucky
  3. thanks for replys, but none address my issue........reason i bought the .22lr carbon wrapped barrel version is my nephew has one,no issues with it at all, except the same issue i asked about, but he dont mind that as he does alot of target shooting, and hardly any field work,so wont worry about losing the mag.he has , i would say thousands of rounds through his, finds it very accurate with eley subs,he done his own trigger job on it,i fired from it and liked it,
  4. hi folks,a question to anyone that has the above .22lr,i bought one a few weeks ago,i find it very good for the price, and accurate for my needs. now the question is do any of you find that the magazine can pop out very easy with the slightest touch of the little lever,?i have almost lost the mag a few times,is there any way to combat this,i was going to tie a piece of string round the mag and trigger guard, any suggestions, thanks
  5. plus 1 for this, changed my shooting completely
  6. thanks for the pictures etc, would you post to ireland/tipperary.if so how much in total,?
  7. nice group there london, mate has had no more problems either since the re zero after the fall
  8. hi,that sounds like a hard enough fall/knock,as said above im still wondering what moved?and by so much
  9. thanks all for reply's.....just to say 11 rabbits today all head shots at ranges from 120-180.......so all seems fine again, everything was checked after the fall, nothing was out of place, has hawke mounts, low,,these ones they look pretty strong,so like what oowee says above.im also wondering what moved,,thanks again to all
  10. thanks,he re zeroed this mourning, and seems ok again, dont think the scope is faulty, was shooting well up to the fall, was just wondering would such a not so serious fall on grass, off set a scope by that much, heading out later today for a while, will post if everything is ok or not.scope is not an expensive model, around 170 quids, but was as said doing well up to the fall, thanks
  11. hi good folks, was out with a mate yesterday with his 223 rabbiting, anyway first 2 shots head shots 140 yards, and 155,then he had a slip coming down a small hill, went backwards, had the gun on his shoulder, grassy hill, nothing serious, gun did fell with him, anyway missed the next 5 shots,he said there is something not right, tried on a target, was 5 inches low and 4 inches to left at 100 yrds,so question is,although the gun did not get a really bad knock, should it have been off that much? scope is a hawke 3-12x50,thanks
  12. hi all, just got the hawke vantage 6-24x50 this mourning, have it mounted and will head off later to zero, ill post in a few days if or not this solved the problem of holding zero
