crichbish
My dog has picked up a splinter, it runs through his main pad, goes in one side and out of the other, it's only just below the surface, I tried pulling from one end and it snapped, any advice or tips. Trying to avoid the vets, as dog hates it and will end up being knocked out to allow them to look at it, he trusts me and my wife and will let us do anything. paulnix
Soak it in warm water and try to squeeze it out the same way it went in and push it by using your thumb nail across the skin behind it can help.
al4x
Try a set of tweezers on it but don't break it as any bits left in and it will not heal. Mine has had 5 months of problems after a branch injury and every bit that broke off and stayed in flared up.
