Tony9r
Having only just moved up from the shottie to a rimmy, how often should I clean out the barrel as I'm so used to cleaning out the 12g after every use?
kip270
Just when your out and it gets wet, i have had my rimmy for over 5yrs and cleaned it three times, only clean it when your groups are not as good as they should be
steverimfire
chatting to my local gun shot they recon if your using lead only ammo you dont have to clean them very often, ive cleaned mine about 10 times in 5 years and still cleans and shoots excellent
Oly
There's loads on this elsewhere, and two very different camps. I am very clearly in the clean everytime camp. It's not very hard or time consuming - simply put a boresnake through it twice after each outing. Then, like Kip says, if it gets wet do a thorough clean - which I do every few months anyway...but I do put several thousand rounds through per year. It's good practice and you can keep an eye on the condition of your barrel
luckytrigger
I clean the bolt/ bolt face after every outing but have never cleaned the barrel . Accuracy is still excellent
Poacher
only cleaned mine once since having it (1year) , for my own re-assurance when zeroing it. At school we used to shoot them on the range and i'm not sure they ever got cleaned atleast not whilst i was there, some 5years

Tony9r
Thank's for all your replies guy's, so a clean after each outing isn't entirely necessary - that's good enough for me
