Savhmr
Is it just me? (answers on a post card). Having just worked up a great load for my vermin control pill in 223, supplies of 60g V-max have all but dried up. RFD tells me more are not due any time soon, same with Varget and other USA sourced bullets and powders. Are they stockpiling for WW3 or something? I suspect it's the paranoia surrounding the (endless) election campaigning over in the States and what it may or may not mean for the NRA and shooting community there. So, I have just wasted a shed load of bullets, powder, cases and time for a load I'll probably not bother with again since supplies are unreliable. Moral: stick to obtainable powders and bullets. I'll probably use Sierra for all my bullet needs and Viht for all my powder needs from now on. For anyone with a shed load of 60g V-max, I have a decent load worked up in 223 using N133 if of interest (subject to the usual caveats). mick miller
I only use Viht if possible and CCI primers for this reason. Bullets however, well it helps to be 'flexible'. For my 243 I've worked up 6, yes 6 different loads, with different bullets and powders. My butt is covered!
rimmie
I have noticed you can't get 20gn .17 cal vmax anywhere in Kent, there on "back order" everywhere.
malkiserow
It's a pain. I have just done a 162 grn load but now told these are being discontinued!!!!!!! Just done another in 55 grn semi for the .222 yesterday. I hope these continue to be made but have 2 others that work well.
