oowee
Out on peas today. I was told the field was barley so had to make a few calls to make sure I was in the right place. A lovely quiet 30 acre field with 20 acres planted. Set up at the field bottom next to stream with my mate at the top. With part of the field still grass it was an easy drive down to drop off the gear and plenty of birds on the field it looked like the perfect day. With the sun burning off the haze I set my hide with 4 layers of camo on the sunny side which was great for shade but meant that my view left was restricted. A steady flow of birds mostly jackdaws for me which provided some excellent acrobatic targets and I was pleased to get three pairs but missed out on a couple of triples as I was trying a bit to hard to get them. 36 shot and 31 picked brings this weeks total to a little over 150 assorted blacks and no pigeons.
