ChrisDavey
Hi there. This is an appeal to any ferreter's ( male or female ), but experienced only please who would like to undertake some informal but serious pest control. I have permission to control vermin over a pasture+woodland area of approx 200 acres. This area is known to be heavily populated by rabbits, and after only 3 x 24hr periods of shooting this area it is plain that shooting alone will not control the numbers or make the badly needed in-roads into the numbers to the immediate satisfaction of the landowner The land is near Warminster, Wiltshire with easy access to A36. We are looking for one or a couple of experienced ferreters with their own long nets, purse etc, to undertake informal ferreting on a strict guest basis to make a 'dent' in the apparent population. Access can be gained with 4x4 vehicles, the bag will be split. No direct payment will be given. On application we can discuss more detail inc timing, availability etc NO AIR GUN or FAC need apply : Ferrets only on this application.
