HarryRead
~~The Melford Hall Estate in Suffolk consists of 260 Acres of mixed and English woodland, surround by 3,000 of rolling farmland the 14 drives offer a fantastic pheasant shooting with a range of quality from our game covers pushing on into the season we can offer plenty of stands in the woods providing some cracking snap shooting. The 200 acre famous Linage Wood has its own deer lawns and a large population of woodcock throughout the winter. The Chad Brook runs through the middle of the estate but has no public roads so its very picturesque and peaceful. We have our own transport from drive to drive and we welcome guns to bring their dogs if desired although we still have a full team of pickers up on board. We aim to leave the farmyard for 8:30 and set out to shoot 4 drives in the morning, we stop for a short break at 11:00 for refreshments and then again at 1:00 for lunch where we'll head back to the shoot room for a sit down and a warm drink or glass of port if preferred. We'll then shoot another 2 drives after lunch and then a few pints down the pub always goes down well!! We are more than happy to offer clients viewing of the estate out of season and can provide booking for accommodation, we have two historic villages on the doorstep Long Melford and Lavenham with shooting friendly pubs if required. Shoot day booking will be confirmed with a deposit and payment must be received in full at an agreed time, This is for 10 days shooting made up of 50 bird days on this prestigious estate Pigeon shooting will be available for all syndicate members at no extra charge all year round on appointment with the Gamekeepers
