muckybear
hi gang may seem a silly question but i have always used 32g no6 70mm for pigeon crows etc went to a different shop as i was passing and went to get some shells man said got no 32s i only have 30s so had no choice really brought them started using them fine was dropping crows at 40 yds no problem but the recoil was only half why is that the shells were 30g no6 67.5mm whats the difference apart from the obvious thanks in advance gang
Ferret Master
Case length will make no difference. I would be suprised if 30g loads only had half the recoil of 32g loads. Different types of cartridges recoil differently depending on the powder and weight of load but usually the heavier the load the more recoil. You must have been shooting some seriously powerful 32 grammers and bought some very soft 30g if they are half the recoil. FM

Ferret Master
Hi, The Hi Flyers are 1400fps and I suspect the 32g HV gunshop branded loads are Eley Grand Prix High Pheasant which have a velocity of 1450fps with a different label providing they are fibre wadded.
