hutchy01
Recently bought a used Baikal side by side from The Game Fair, and am puzzled as to what model it is as it is in Russian. Also, I don't understand what the markings underneath the barrel mean. Could anyone enlighten me? I've posted some pictures.

steve d
1 12g, 70mm chambers, 18.2mm nominal bore, left barrel full choke, right barrel half choke?
TONY R
Old model 58 12 bore 70mm, they preceded the 430 series SxSs, Built like Brick outhouses, hard chrome barrels will shoot steel, I think they were sold by sportsmarketing for a wile before the 430s came out around 1989 . Model 58s came out in the 1950 to early 1960s over here. Good solid old workhorse.
Zapp
3 So would it be "IZH58MA"? "Izh" is short for Izhevsk Mashinostroyenia, a large arms company which was recently merged with another subsidiary and renamed the Kalashnikov Concern. Oh right thanks. Always nice to know the history and origins of your gun. 12g, 70mm chambers, 18.2mm nominal bore, left barrel full choke, right barrel half choke? Ah yes that makes much more sense, thank you.
