mick miller
Well, that's one genuine positive review. No disrespect to Chris, but I always tend to take written reviews from professional journalists with a small pinch of salt. Off the record is another matter of course. I was just after a few opinions, either good or bad, from people that had owned or tried this make. I'm not convinced I need LED lights (it'll never be used indoors) or the tripod (looks a bit cheap), so £90 isn't a bad price really for the regular model. malkiserow
I know what you mean Mick, I looked around and chose this one and pleased I did. I've not used the tripod yet but have used the rest of it as I did an air rifle in the basement so the illuminated bit was very good indeed. Most of my use is in the field with C/F and performance was wonderful. I am always wary of shooting the chrono!! guess it might happen one day
Salop Matt
I have a full kit Caldwell and love it, so glad I spent the money on it. I really value being able to take near and far velocity data and I connect it to my phone with a cable which is a good sensible length. I have used it on my air rifles inc FAC. A guy I know (Paul Hodson - He`s part of Team wild and a product tester for Air Arms and can be found on most social media) uses his with everything up to CF 6mm & 7mm from memory pushing around 4000fps. A good buy for sure and worth the money. Mine doesn't get used every time the rifle comes out but when I want it its such a great bit of kit I value it every time. rbrowning2
Anybody tried one with a shotgun, plastic and fibre wads? If so did it work ok. Keep thinking I should buy a chronograph one day. Thanks.
mick miller
Thank you for your candid input, I hope there was no offence taken at my comment on the online review. I am simply aware of the difficult position a professional journalist often finds themselves in. I do very much value unbiased opinions however.
