sniperman
i bought my air rifle 4months ago and went shooting with for 2 months then one day i was reloading it i accidently pulled the trigger while reloading and lost the rubber seal in that goes in the breach, i got a replacement one for £2.50 and since then my air rifle hasnt been as powerful any ideas if this could be the reason and a possible solution? thanks
Fisherman Mike
Give us some details on the gun sniperman... Is it a springer or a PCP. Sound like you may have leakage through the breach seal... Is it the right one?? has the breach slammed back under spring pressure and been distorted... FM. neil
it could be any one or a combination of a load of things, like fm says, lets have a few more details
Pigeon_decoyer
Well if i was you i would ring up one of your local gun shops and ask them what they think? They should give you some advice! Then ring up loads of other gun smiths anywhere and ask them, if they all say the same they are obviously right but if they all say different they dont know how to do their job! sniperman
looking at the rubber seal it has like a gap in it is that normal or should it be a solid rubber? Its a Lighting air rifle
Fisherman Mike
Sound like the seal is broken or badly fitted. Hook out the old seal and get a new one. Make sure it is a genuine BSA part 16-1050 Get into www.chambersgunmakers.co.uk site and down load parts list. Ithink the part you want is the same as the supersport but give them a ring and they will let you know. Take care when fitting the old one. or better still take it to the nearest supplier/gunsmith and have them fit it for you shouldnt be more than a tenner. Have them check the gun out at the same time cus when they snap back under spring pressure damage can be done. FM

sniperman
cheers, anyone got a pic of one then i can edit it and show u how the rubber seal looks on mine?
Matt.Tsk
I had the same prob with my supersport. There should b a small slice missing for some reason put a little bit of oil on it and just slide it in the oil will stop it from perishing that should do the trick. Good luck m8
