If it is parts that you are after I had problems getting a new starter for my 2000/1 XJ 4ltr the uk parts people kept sending ones that had the wrong electrical connectors on it so I decided to try these people US based the new starter arrived in less than a week and was not as expensive with tax and postage as the uk supplied one.

I think that the problem is for the US market they only sold petrol engine one if you look it just says 2.5L or 4L no mention of diesels so it does not look like they will be of much help to you sorry about that you could try to find a second hand one but when I tried that for my 4ltr they wanted £60 or more and I was not going to pay that much for something probably 15 years old and worn out.

Cheers for the replies and help guys,as its so time consuming a job did not fancy a secondhand one so bit the bullet today and ordered one,we will wait and see if the correct one turns which they assure me 1,000 percent its the correct one, just want to get her back on the road as apart from the starter she drives perfect .

I hope that it does not cost you to much but then if the car/truck is going ok with no problems it has to be worth it I used to love my XJ I only sold it because it was a late 2000/1 and they made a lot of stupid pointless little changes that made getting some parts was a nightmare mind you have a 2003 Nissan X-Trail and I am having problems getting a part for that will it never end.
