kody
Anyone use the competition type of subsonic cartridges on woodies are any good I read that they are only doing just over 1000 fps
sitsinhedges
The ones I chrono'ed were doing less than that. I wouldn't use them. I did try some Eley CT fibre in 28gram 7.5 and they seemed to kill well and be quite quiet. I seem to recall that despite claims of a good speed these ones were only doing low 1100s in reality and were useful for decoying ranges. For a good all round subsonic I think at least a 6 is in order.

I need to keep noise down on a small shoot I have and was also thinking of a 21 grm competition load in a 20 bore which are standard velocity
sitsinhedges
Just buy a few boxes and see what works best. Light standard shells tend to be quite fast so you get the sonic bang.
