fitzy
I'm at the stage where I want to introduce my dog to gun fire. In the market for a starting pistol. However I've seen a single shot blank firer by gundogdummies that looks interesting. The fact it isn't seen as 'replica' does appeal. http://www.gundogdummies.com/gpage2.html. Unfortunately the asking price doesn't. Would appreciate to hear from anyone that owns one and whether they're worth it. timd999
I don't know anything about the blank firer you mention, however the usual starter pistols are perfectly legal and are now brightly coloured to resemble a toy. There is also the added advantage of having a 6 shot capacity, meaning you don't need to faff around reloading after a single use. Quest Gundogs do an Olympic starter pistol for £35, virtually half the price of what you're looking at.
guzzicat
Why not invest in a dummy launcher ( you will want one anyway ) & just crack off blanks in that?
fitzy
Hi Guzzicat, thinking of the same thing. Friend has one, may make an offer.
