I've had one of these since about 1973 - my second airgun in .22. What cay you say - they are young lads airguns - I remember thinking I was stepping up to the "more powerful" .22 after two years with a G23 in .177 and I found it "disappointing" that it did not full penetrate the lattice fencing down the garden and hence the .177 v .22 Argument rages even to this day - with the reduced penetration and the "loopy" trajectory I had a few ricochet back to me and judging hold over was that bit more difficult.

I think it you accept it for what it is you will really enjoy it? For me having one (with the expectations I had before getting it) I was a bit disappointed and it set me on a quest for .177 under levers such as an Original 50 or HW77 - however looking back now I have some very happy memories of shooting with my G77. I'm sure you will enjoy it. Just be careful about any splash-back?

I have a .22 at the moment in my remington airgun however a mate from work was getting rid of this and it's a bit of a wreck, it's more of a project really, needs the stock sanding, varnished, blueing is rusted, needs oiling up inside and maybe more once I've tried to restore it haha
