njc110381
Hi guys. I've been considering buying myself an 18" barrelled Uberti Buntline in .357. Does anyone have one? It looks like the sort of thing that I'd like to handle before ordering - mainly because of the lack of balance. I know it won't be good, but rather would like to know how bad it is?! Anyone here got any experience of them?
VULTURE
Hi I have one and find it front heavy but I got used to It,build quality is good with lovely bluing, only problem I've had is some of the screws loosening off a bit,a dab of thread lock sorted it out. Can get a group about 2" across at 20 yards single handed with home loads. I'm happy with mine. Cheers. Vulture
njc110381
So it's not front heavy to an unusable degree then? That's good. I have to say it has been my main thought on the gun. Uberti build quality usually is pretty good from what I've heard. I have one of their short rifles on order as we speak.
VULTURE
It depends on how good your wrist is,my wife has to use both hands if she has a go with it. Best thing to do is try one if you can, some people struggle after 4or 5 shots as their arm gets tired It depends on how good your wrist is,my wife has to use both hands if she has a go with it. njc110381
I heard you the first time... It's a shame you're so far north of me. I would have tried to talk you into letting me have a go with yours if you were closer! Someone down here must have one. I just need to find it! scottie2345
I have fancied one as well, somebody in our club has one and he likes his, does anyone so a clipon stock for it, similar to a old colt ? might make it a bit more accurate. njc110381
The old Buntlines used to come with a stock option. No longer produced as far as I know, but you could pick one up off of one of the many cheap de-acts that are around. I will be getting one for mine, or maybe making one
