Bought new from dealer.fired 50 pellets to sight up then discovered split in stock coming from trigger guard.took back to dealer who more or less disbelieve that it had happened unless I had either dropped rifle or pulled trigger when barrel cocked.being 53 years old and experience shooter having had shotguns for over 20 yrs.ive always looked after my guns.anyway rifle now sent back to bsa as shop refused to exchange. Anyone else had problems with faulty stock in bsa lightening xl.

You have 14 days to return it by law, if it defective, not as advertised or not fit for purpose, your contract will be with the shop who sold you this gun, I have a BSA lightning xl .22 which was a good gun and never had any issues with it, but I tend to use me hw100 and keep the BSA for me grandson

Don't quote me but I think you now have 30 days
