Cranfield
Did anyone read the "leaking" of parts of the Queens Speech for the new Parliment. Apparently the abbreviated statement regarding hunting is; "Hunting, not a complete ban. Hunts must prove that they offer the least cruel means of dealing with foxes". Whilst this is just a press rumour, I suspect there is some truth in it. HOPEFULLY.
ernyha
8) Sounds very much of another case of Blair trying to run with the hare and the hounds again,or should I say the FOX and the hounds? :grumpy:
berettaboy
I wouldn't get too excited. The Gov. looks like it will place the onus on the hunts to prove that hunting is the most humane alternative. They will have to do this to a local committe consisting of National trust and LACS members (both strongly opposed to any type of field sport) Highland hunts will probably remain whereas lowland hunts will probably dispand in favour of shooting. time for another march methinks...
