JDog
There is a thread going about gun slips and one of the later posts in effect says 'you get what you pay for' and I agree. I have a Brady slip which is not leather but canvass with leather fittings and it has served me well for fifteen years or so as I have looked after it. My cartridge bags are another case in point. The Brady one I bought in the 1970's and the other one I had made to my own specification at the same time. They are as good now as the day I bought them as I have treated them with care. The very best leather treatment I have seen is Effax Leder-Balsom which I believe is Austrian in origin and which is made in Germany. I use it on my bags and shoes and leather boots and it not only aids suppleness but increases the waterproof qualities.
