When Should I Let Him Out Of The Crate

Hola,

Training is going well again. Aero has not been of off the lead for 1 week. He is learning the "here" command on the long lead for 3 weeks at NTTF has suggested. Tomorrow we begin the stop whistle on the lead as well.

Just a quick question. Aero is in a cage during the evening and when we go out. When is it a good idea to start to leave him out of the cage? The cage is indoors and takes up a bit of space that the wife would like back at some point. We have no other room for it.

What do you suggest?

If you think that he is past any destructive tendancys, and is fully house broke then give him a try over night. If he does well I would let him be out at night for aweek I would then start leaving him out for short periods of time when not home to see how he reacts. Just leave the door open as most will just goin and lay there anyway. I woulsd also make sure that he has something to entertain himself with through the time he is home alone, so he does not go looking for something to get into.
