It will be a metric thread but not all metric threads are standard SI . As to the brass inserts ,having tried to get some last year from Belgium , FN and the Belgian trade stockers in Liege they were like hens teeth . The cost of making them is considered to high for the Belgian trade machinists to make in the small quantities wanted so there is fewer non factory parts for B25s being made FN are not making or if not selling them so it might be easiest to replace with a conventional screw as Browning's used to use .

I tried all normal metric threads, but no match, I can buy them from Numrich Gun works, but they are a proper pain to get to the UK.

So as you say go conventional or make new screws with a standard thread and make inserts to match, dont need many as B25 stocks are not the biggest seller, but would be nice to have a solution...
