triumphant59
Took my 2 year old cocker dog beating with me today for the 1st time. There were about 7 other dogs there and 1 springer bitch. Apart from a bit of growling with 1 of the dogs all was fine but once he had a smell of the bitch he would leave her alone and became a nuisance trying to get to her all the time. Not sure if she was on heat but none of the other dogs bothered her. Any advice appreciated.
bigbird
Has he been around bitches before? It could be that a lot of the other dogs were neutered / more experienced around bitches but also that the bitch was in the cusp of coming into season. I wouldn't worry too much especially as he was probably excited about his first outing as well. Did she tell him off?
