Yonic
Is anybody going to this show? I'll be there as I've been asked to help out on the BDS stand for the weekend. Holland&Holland
Hey Cirencester ! Went for half a year as an erasmus exchange student to the Royal Agricultural College at Cirencester. Good memories about the place. Had great fun playing rugby and have shooting competitions with the ever lasting rival Harper Adams ! Common saying at RAC was: be nice to the harper adams boys, you might have to employ them later. Never understood the competition because i know people from both colleges and you have good ones and bad ones on both. Any around on the forum? Thats a laugh local residents know the Agg students as a bunch of Toffee nosed twits they seem to be banned from local pubs in circulation. ! When I played Rugby against them in my younger days the saying was... " you cannot get into The RAC if you have been circumcised " because they only take complete P****s ! My wife went to Newton Rigg.... now thats a proper Agg College. On the subject of the Cotswold show its worth a visit but there is also a lot of commercialised Psuedo yuppie land owner dross associated with it ! Im afraid there are very few of us real cotswold people left these days... !!!

Have to say thats actually being quite polite about them from a local point of veiw... I remember quite a few years ago a group of them got a tad drunk and thought it would be a good idea to shoot the road signs from the back of a landy at night with shotguns??? njc110381
It's not far from me, I may have a look. How much shooting stuff is there? I was a bit concerned by the sheep being on the main page, is it a country show with guns and ferrets or a pay to view farmers market? Its a country show, I have been a few times, tends to be plenty to look at, can't remember if there is a clay shoot or not though, I know that BASC tend to be there doing a dog trail and quite a few others things going on. Holland&Holland
@ fisherman mike Do not be to harsh on me please. I do not even now what a toffee nosed twit is or looks like, and i am not circumsised . And i certainly didn't shoot at roadsigns. I was there to do a study on their farms. Still, i liked my stay at Cirencester. Probably all colleges have their black sheep ? But it looks like you dislike the RAC in particular? Don't worry we don't dislike the college as such , it just some students tend to give the whole college a bad name. you tend to find most students that are there now tend to be there to study. A small minorty though are the sterotypical agg students, Daddy has too much money and they have to spend it. A few years ago I overheard a conversation between a couple of them and the girl was saying how daddy had bourght her a flat for while she was studying?? So much for college halls eh...
