davo
I've applied for my FAC and hopefully I am going to be looking to buy some new glass to go on top of a .22LR & a .17HMR, what would you all recommend for around the £250'ish (per scope) price range??? Should I spend more??? Seen a few 'BSA Sweet 17' scopes for sale on here, anybody used one? opinions? Thanks in advance.

Peter_HMR
Be careful with the bsa's some people have good results others dont just look into it first before you waste your money. The fave scope around here is the Simmons WTC 6-20x40 On mine i have a Hawke Target 6-24x50 pics in pics section both well under your limit and good scopes will do everything you ask and very reasonably priced
Poacher
don't both spending 250 on a BSA you'd get a better view through an old bog roll Have a look around for a quality second hand scope. Someone on here was selling a Pecar 4-10x45 for around 200 the other day which is perfectly adaquate for .22 and alot better quality. davo
Thanks guys, wasn't sure about the BSA I was just intrigued by its being designed for use with the .17HMR, certainly cheap enough, I am looking for something thats good quality thats going to last and would be suitable for C/F possibly at a later date. JohnGalway
MTC Viper, £234.00 I have the 4-16 x 50, I loves it, took off a Nightforce to put it on my .
kip270
I have a £60 scope on my .22lr (4-16x50)and a £90 scope on my .17hmr(6-25x56), so you don't need to go over the top for both these rifles. I spent more on my scopes for my CF rifles
Yonic
MTC Viper, £234.00 I have the 4-16 x 50, I loves it, took off a Nightforce to put it on my .223 I have seen this scope and it looks great, a Freind has one on his .222 and is very pleased. Its a 30mm tube comes with some mounts and sunshade and also flip ups for protection of the lenses. Shooting sports did a write up on it a couple of months ago and the reviewer bourght one. sounds like a good recomendation? Dirty Harry
I have a simmons WTC 6.5-20x50 on my Sako quad in HMR. Really pleased with it. It cost £50 from the states shipped to an address out there and a mate brought it back with him. Harry
