ShaggyRS6 Posted June 3, 2007 Report Share Posted June 3, 2007 After a good 4 weeks without a Magpie in sight they finally plucked up the courage to return to my end of the feild I back onto. In fact it was bothering my wife's adopted Blackbird that she has named blacky (she worked for ages on that name) So the nest I have used many times to great success came out. I only used one craacked hen egg this time and gave a couple of rattles on a match box. After 20 mins I decided to get ready to go rabbit hunting. As I past the window that looks onto my front garden I noticed he had ripped the egg from its nest and was eating from it.
