Maldwyn Posted June 3, 2007 Report Share Posted June 3, 2007 I'll be celebrating my 40th birthday on August bank holiday and have never shot a grouse. Along with the fact that the missus is just getting back on her feet after recovering from an operation, I've been thinking of taking her away for a long weekend in Scotland. I'm looking for a nice hotel setting where she could pamper herself during the day while I indulge myself with a day's walked up Grouse shooting. Have done a bit of research on the internet but was wandering if anyone could reccommend anywhere. I had a walked up day there a few years ago on the hotels own little moor, unfortunateley I have lost the telephone number for the hotel but I am sure one of our overseas friends on 118118 can get you the number. Anyway make sure you do the grouse somewhere, it is the most exciting shooting, and if you can stretch to driven grouse, simply the best.
