wildfowler.250
So my CZ has been faultless for years and probably my favourite rifle but recently it's been playing up. Quite often recently, I've found the gun hasn't cocked despite cycling the bolt. Needless to say the crows don't tend to hang around long enough for you to fix it.. Previously this has fixed by re-cocking the rifle a bit more firmly,(doesn't always work). Or if I remove the bolt and twist the handle relative to the bolt,(not entirely sure what that's for?) then click it back into place the gun will fire first time after the bolt has been reapplied. Does something need a bit of a clean? Confused as to what's going on. Many thanks!
wildfowler.250
Probably some dirt interfering with the sear that holds the firing pin back above the trigger mechanism. Some triggers get modified and leave too little engagement for security but wear and tear also have an input Thanks! Take the bolt apart for a clean then? Walker570
Yes, give it a good clean out and if you have access to an air line have a good blast in there as small bits of grit are often not obvious.
wildfowler.250
Trigger first, bolt is less likely Thanks! Yes, give it a good clean out and if you have access to an air line have a good blast in there as small bits of grit are often not obvious. Thank you! I took it out on Wednesday night and it worked perfectly but will give it a good clean as it does this every now and again and it's a tad frustrating. Thanks for the advice!
