wymberley
You'll have no argument from me. hello, it was not meant to be the above, if hull have ceased production on the high pheasant 7 maybe george can make you an equivalent ? i must admit back in the 1970s my favourite cartridge for game was eley grand prix 6s, pigeon was any cheapy, Just an expression that means simply that one isn't going to disagree. Compared to the 70s and earlier, cartridges prices are like spark plugs - or at least were as it's ages since I last bought any.
Wasabi
Now that the gun has been Teagued things are looking better and I think I've cracked it. I'm going to try the ones that you last recommended, but I'm minded that they're going to have to go some to out-do their big brother - just need to check that a different shot size to those tried pattern the same. Just have to nip up the motorway to collect a box of each to find out. However, I can probably get the Eleys closer to home so while I'm at it I will try those as well. The pigeon have not been playing ball on the winter barley stubbles - they're all over the place - and then there's the weather which has stopped further harvesting dead so it would be unwise to express an opinion with so few birds shot, but having said that, I have a distinct impression that those Pro Game 7s are going to turn out to be something else and am keeping them for the AyA. I'd agree with you on the pro game Wymberly. Took some to a busy rape stubble a few weeks ago. Lovely kills and so smooth compared to the Black Gold 32 gram I was using up. I actually stopped shooting and walked back to the car to offload the gamebore BG and get more pro game!

Yep, got lucky there. I'll be forever grateful that the lad at York guns was a damned good salesman - I only rang because I thought they might still have some High Pheasant 7s.
