matgriff
Recently got my SGC and gun (winchester 101 XTR) Been shooting pigeons on and off for a few years with friends.. advice from this forum was to get some lessons on clays, so I've booked in for 2hrs on Tuesday at Mickley Hall shooting school, which is quite close to me. Any tips ? Thanks Mat

Me matt
Find more cash ££££ When I started taking lessons (once a week) for an hour - it just left me wanting more, after two weeks I was shooting an hour and a half every week. That swiftly change to two hours- but looking back I must of spent a small fortune.
kingo15
As above it's addictive once you get the bug you can't shake it. My one piece of advice is don't become obsessed with chokes. Stick with 1/4 and 1/2 or something very similar. More than adequate for 98% of targets I've even seen. We proved it one day at grimsthorpe but shooting a 90 yard looper with a skeet choke and 7.5 28 gram cart. Go enjoy it. Have fun
matgriff
Hi I'm just using Skeet & improved cylinder chokes (1/4) The advice I got was to fit them & forget ... :-)
