red_stag88
The eclipse IS NOT, spring gun rated. Using it on your HW97 would knacker it.

brain dead
yes it does reaallllllyyyyyy matter if its spring gun rated on a springer otherwise you will have a messed up scope, theres alot of virbrations given off when fired. brain dead
well uttings says it is. but then it might not be. in my opinion the airmax is a good choice as it is made for air rifles.

byhsu
They must have made a mistake, I would go for the Hawke airmax. The reverse recoil of a springer will destroy a non airgun rated scope. Make sure you have a scope mount with recoil stop too, to prevent the scope from shifting. You don't want to have the rifle zeroed and later the scope shifts position, this will just make you to zero it again, which is a pain and takes time, that could be used hunting.
