smokinbarrels
Evening Gents, I've just recieved my shotgun cleaning kit and i'm unsure how to use it. Can anybody give me advice on how to clean a 12g O/U? Many Thanks Q
Oly
I'm not being funny, but buy a boresnake and some Napier gun oil/rust inhibitor spray...save you a lifetime of brushes, jags and mops!!
smokinbarrels
Cheers, I'll have a look on Ebay. Looks a bit more easy than all those brushes and mops etc. Many thanks Q

I've got to agree with you on that one. Plus you can be done in 5 minutes!!
Glenshooter
This is likely to be a dumb question, but how do you use a boresnake? Do you use a push rod to get rid of the initial **** first - rather then mank the boresnake? I push through solvent soaked tissue/cloth to get rid of the fouling before a wire brushing, cleaning with jag/cloth followed by a mop. Does a boresnake replace all this effort?? Thanks in advance.
