Lurch
Like the look of that heavy barrel job! Could be tempted by that, I've been thinking of upgrading my CZ for a while now.
jcbruno
My plan is to get a sako quad with a 17hmr barrel and get a local smith stock maker to get a custom wood stock to get it as close to the old finnfire as possible i had a finnfire on order from a store brand new but i think someone there decided they wanted it more than me and so they gave me a floppy excuse as to why they sold it

jcbruno
what was so special about the finn fire jcbruno? I dont know i think i am just in love with the old look and am not overly fond of the new space age look of the new tikka and sako rifles i have a tikka whitetail hunter i bought new a few years back in 7mm rem mag i love the stock and i find the action smoother than the new t3 and it is a little heavier but i dont mind a little extra weight when you are shooting magnum sized loads i cant imagine shooting magnum loads in a t3 lite that would buck pretty good, however in a lite caliber ie 308/243 a t3 hunter and wood stock would do nicely, and i guess with the quad i dont like the small plastic stock and those new grip patterns on the forstock i guess what i am trying to say is it looks like a gun jedi would have and not john wayne woul have just my preferance if the next guy loves it i wont put him down
Lurch
and i guess with the quad i dont like the small plastic stock and those new grip patterns on the forstock The very reasons I want one! I won't have wood in my cabinet, just don't like it Folks and strokes.
tulkyuk
what was so special about the finn fire jcbruno? The finnfire was a nice looking rifle and had fantastic build quility, they also shoot damn straight too! - i would have 1 tommorow if i could find 1 (like rocking horse doo doo in the uk), people tend to keep hold of them as they are so good. Take a look here - http://www.sako.fi/pdf/specs/FinnfireVarmint.pdf Cheers Paul
