markbivvy
just out of interest do you own a firearms certificate please. nothing to do with your question, sorry.
davo
If its got a bolt action its likely to be a pcp, (precharged), basically no moving parts therefore no recoil when fired likely to be more accurate, needs a charging kit to fill the reservoir. The physical action of 'breaking the barrel' compresses either a spring or gas ram system, which causes a slight movement when fired can if not held properly effect accuracy, also you will hear the movement of the working parts. (Not saying that springers are not as accurate, my HW77 is spot on). Hope that helps.

naddan28
Tom, can I suggest (no offence meant) that you have a good read up and learn all about the firearms you wish to possess. As nothing will stop an application quicker than a FEO thinking your clueless! Dan
BSA Shaun
I suggest you buy an SMK. Then you will not do any harm to anyone, even with intent

SNAKEBITE
I still think you are rushing it to be honest. Have you got any land to shoot over? How long have you been shooting? And most importantly do you know what you pellet does and is capable of once it leaves the barrell? Sorry if this seems a little condracending but I'm guessing at your level of experience. Oh and are you insured?

Oh and are you insured? I started shooting an airgun over 8 months ago, have shooting permission and spent ages reading this and sites/mags for ballastic info and I am now CONSIDERING a FAC application, happy with the fact my knowledge is sufficent in the area of rf's. Also, considering you may not have any field exp with even an air rifle, a FEO might be very wary with FAC rifles. It may be an idea to get down the local range!
