Sussex Countryman
Has anyone got any good tips for touching up the usual nicks and chings to the blueing or blacking on a s/h shottie, esp getting best possible match to original? Has anyone any experience of Birchwood Casey gun blue touch up pen please? Thanks all. Sx Ctymn
Sundodger
Hi Sussex I have just been playing around with an old single barrel 12g. I cleaned up the barrel with some very fine emery cloth until all the rust was gone and the metal was showing. next I cleaned the barrel using Acatone this is a degreaser used for fibre glass work. it is very good. Next i applyed the Casey gun blue and left it for about 1 minute then I washed it of with fresh water and dried it. Then I reapplied the Casey gun blue and washed agian then dried it and applied some gun oil. Jobs a good un. just the stock to go
