Guest rabo Posted June 17, 2007 Report Share Posted June 17, 2007 it was getting dark last night when i heard what i thought was a young fox or dog,it was like a bark and a growl mixed,i went over for a closer look and an owl (dont know what breed of owl)flew of just a small distance and staring calling again.anyone any info on it. ALL the different calls off all the spieces,the one i referred to earlier as a bird of prey in the same line of trees is a long eared owl (fledged young) and the one doing the barking is one of the adult birds more than likely the male,i done a check on an owl forum and was told the long eared owl do bark sometimes,and it was barking because it thought the young were in danger, FERRET MASTER WAS SPOT ON Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
