30-6
I know some find tripods no good and prefer to use bipods, but I recently bought a tripod, practised on cardboard at 50 yards zero and my accuracy has improved no end with rimfire .22 and FAC .22 air rifle. First thing I done was mark the adjustable legs at various heights for standing, sitting and kneeling. Put studlock on the screws holding the legs on as they worked loose. Finally, when set up put "L" and "R" (left and right) on two legs for easy recognition when in the field in a hurry. Best £25 I've spent in a long time.
gibby
Best £25 I've spent in a long time Go to Amsterdam. I have used a tripod for stalking but found it was a bit too fidely at times so opted for a bipod and the use of sticks instead. Do you notice much more stability then over 2 legs? 30-6
Stability is much better, but also it frees up one arm as it being a tripod stands on its own. I did try a home made sticks bipod and got on ok with them, but height adjustment is a big bonus I think.
