ashley c
Hi has anyone had any experience with getting the dura coat off a Browning gun. My cynergy has gone horrible and tacky. I'm currently trying to remove the stuff but it's proving to be a long winded job. Not even paint thinners is working that well
lancer425
It is a problem Duratouch, i satin lacquer over mine on my 425 WF it it only wants A very fine coating though. This gets rid of the tackiness but not heavy enough coat to crack and break up. The general idea is to get the lacquer thinner to be absorbed into the soft tacky Finnish and as it dries convert it to a harder more durable Finnish , it works but only ghost it on very light. I think they have blue under this rubbish and wood might be redeemable if i were sure it would clean off with a decent Finnish underneath i would remove it tomorrow, but being a fowling gun i long since gave up on aesthetics with the waterfowl . theshootist
My Browning gold has gradually gone sticky. Its a fabulous covering on a cold day, really grippy. It just doesn't last forever and goes a bit yellow eventually.
