Cleaning action with Parker Hale 009

Good evening, 

I've found some rust spots around the action of my shotgun. I read somewhere (on here I think) that Parker Hale 009 can be used to remove them and also the black watery type stains. 

Anyone else recommend this? And what's the best way of going about it.

This sounds awful but a brillo pad and oil rubbed lightly will shift them. The soap in the brillo takes the edge off the wire wool. I use it all the time on my wildfowling guns as they usually have rust when you take them out of the slip at home.
