Country_est
For me in hampshire, first off was to inform plod, their advise was to move the guns to a RFD during move and then when I have the new safe in place to call them for a check, once OK'd they will let me bring the guns back and update the SGC. Suggest you buy a few carts before sending the cert back, mine took a couple of weeks when I moved. The visit was within a couple of days once I called them to say the new cab was in place. This was 2001 that I moved. Cheers Trev
Cranfield
I have moved a few times with a gun cabinet and a few times I have bought a new one (would have caused too much damage removing the old one). I advise the police that I have moved (not about to move), give them all the details and they come and inspect my securely fitted gun cabinet.
