mack
Been out today with the HMR I bought from Dr James yesterday. Here it is suited and booted and with its first batch of bunnies. Most of these were taken at around 100 yds. The extra range and accuracy of the HMR is going to be a big benefit on my shy-rabbit permission. Well Impressed!!!! mack
Yeah, I do. Its the rubber out of the previous discovery model I had. With regards to the crack. I thought it was quite loud at first, being used to the 22lr subs. Getting used to it now though and the bunnies dont seem to bothered actually, especially at the longer ranges. It doesnt seem to have much worse effect than the 22lr to be honest, the bunnies used to run after I fired that too, with the odd one staying around - Similar to what happens when firing the HMR. VERY shy bunnies all over my permish, which is strange cos not many shoot it. (Must be my aftershave eh?). I may cause more problems on a still night though, will wait for autumn to find out. tulkyuk
I find them ok if your shooting from the truck - but as you say they seem to run in after the first shot if your lying down sniping the little buggars.
