nic
Well after slagging off Gloucestershire's firearms dept since I moved here 6 years ago, things have defiantly changed for the better. as a retired cop, it used to annoy the hell out of me that they would not obey the law, use Home office or NPCC (ACPO) guidelines but their own interpretations. I put in for a variation recently, adding two calibres and asking for the ticket to be open..... I expected loads of hassle and a long delay..... quick turn round, sensible conversation and they now do AOLQ which they previously refused to do. Then when I bought the 223, they phoned to confirm if a new gun as no trace on system and dealer not answering phone........ fast service, I was still driving home (1 hour later) from buying it!!!! maybe the change of staff and Chief Constable has done some good.....
