youngratter
As the title I bought a 2nd hand ultra multi shot and the other night as i went take the mag out the retaining probe snapped and the mag is now stuck in. Anyone else had this? And any tips for the strip down to replace it? Thanks
Ultrastu
That retaining probe requires a full strip of the breach block to replace .it passes through the transfer port. (Holding it in .) Have you stripped an ultra down before. ? I think there is a small ball bearing holding it in .access from below the breech block Im not sure how your gonna get the breech block off with the mag still in it. As acces to the bolt that holds the breech to the airtube .is basically through the mag well . (Just in front actually.) But the mag needs to be out to get to it. Ultrastu
Out of interest is it an se or mmc model ?
Ultrastu
So the small ball bearing and spring go in the yellow hole and retain the pin via the flat section .this also goes along side the brass transfer port .holding that in position . The orange hole is where the bolt comes through from above and fixes to the air tube section and into the firing valve . This bolt is only accessible by pushing back the black plastic pellet probe carrier in the mag well (after the pellet probe has been removed ) and the magazine is out . (Thinkbyour in a bit of a catch 22 situation .unless you can get hold of the broken mag probe and somehow pull it out .or wriggle the mag out and then push the probe out ?? I take it you have some of the mag pin in your hand ? Where did it break off ?
youngratter
Hi thanks for your help and tbh im not sure what system it is, how do you tell the difference? And iv pulled many airguns apart not an ultra. It has snapped off after the 2nd flat on the probe
Ultrastu
Well to be fair. I pretty sure the mmc and se versions are the same in this breech area. The se has a traditional lift up bolt at the rear of the breech . The mmc has a cocking knob at the front of the gun under the air tube .
